JERUSALEM, February 19, 2018 (WAFA) - Israeli security detained on Monday five Palestinians from Silwan, an East Jerusalem neighborhood, two of them 14 years old, according to Wadi Hilweh Information Center.

It said Israeli security forces raided a number of homes in Silwan in the pre-dawn hours and detained two minors aged 14, another 17 years of age, a fourth 18 and the fifth 20.

The five were taken for interrogation at the Russian Compound police station in West Jerusalem.

Police also detained a Palestinian from al-Issawiya, also an East Jerusalem neighborhood, during a night raid at his family home, said the center.

The detentions are believed to be politically motivated.
