Weather: Scattered rain, cold conditions

 

RAMALLAH, February 18, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Sunday is cloudy to partially cloudy, chilly and stormy, while temperature remains lower than its annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Scattered rain showers, along with thunderstorms and hail at times, are expected to fall on several areas. The chance for rain gradually decreases as of the evening and night hours.

Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate to active and stormy at times. Sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature on Sunday is expected to reach a high of mid to low teens during the day and a low of the 10 degrees Celsius and below at night.

Weather on Monday is expected to be partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold. Temperature is expected to rise and approach two degrees Celsius above its annual average.

Temperature rises further on Tuesday, approaching three degrees Celsius above the annual average. Partially cloudy skies are expected.

On Wednesday weather remains partially cloudy with no change in temperature.

The PMD warned people on Sunday against low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog and low clouds. They are also warned against sliding on roads, the formation of floods in low areas and strong winds.
