NABLUS, February 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday shot and injured seven Palestinians during an overnight raid that triggered clashes in the West Bank city of Nablus, said WAFA correspondent.
Israeli forces stormed the city and used tear gas canisters, rubber-coated steel bullets and live ammunition to disperse Palestinian youths who protested the raid and attempted to block their passage.
One Palestinian was hit and injured with a live round and six others were hit with rubber-coated steel bullets. They were taken to Rafidia governmental hospital in Nablus for treatment.
Besides, at least 18 others were treated at the scene after suffering from excessive tear gas inhalation.
Forces stormed several city neighborhoods, where they broke into and thoroughly searched a number of homes purportedly searching for wanted persons, spreading panic among homeowners, especially women and children.
They also occupied and stationed snipers at the rooftops of other homes, slashed the tires of several vehicles, and detained a Palestinian during the raid.
