Weather: Mostly cloudy, relatively chilly conditions

 

RAMALLAH, February 15, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Thursday is mostly cloudy, occasionally dusty and relatively chilly, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Temperature is set to rise and approach four degrees Celsius (°C) above the seasonal average. Wind is northeasterly to southeasterly, moderate to active. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is set to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza.

Partly cloudy and relatively chilly conditions are expected for Friday in daytime and chilly conditions at night with no significant change in temperature. Sporadic rain with occasional thunderstorms is expected at night.

PMD expects a significant drop in temperature to become 2°C below the average with cloudy skies and occasional heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail.

Temperature is set to remain steady on Sunday with chilly and cloudy conditions. Steady heavy rain and occasional hail are expected to drop in the morning paving the way for rain in the afternoon.

PMD warns citizens on Saturday and Sunday against gusts, floods in valleys and low areas, slippery roads due to hail and low visibility due to fog formation.
