RAMALLAH, Feb 10, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received on Saturday in official ceremony Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah before starting official talks.

Modi, who arrived in Ramallah earlier in the day on a Jordanian army helicopter, was first received by Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah before laying a wreath at the grave of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and visiting the Arafat Museum.

President Abbas and Modi stood for the national anthem of their respective countries and then inspected the honor guard and shook hand with Palestinian and Indian officials.

The two leaders then stepped inside the presidential office for official talks.
