SALFIT, February 5, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli army forces Monday detained a Palestinian from the city of Salfit and closed the entrances to several towns in the Salfit district after an Israeli settler was killed near the illegal Ariel settlement.

Official sources told WAFA that the man was identified as Abed Ahmad Jum’a, an intelligence officer.

Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Salfit, the western entrance to Kafr Deek town, and the northern entrance to Deir Istya and prevented residents from entering or leaving these locations.

Residents of Kafl Haris also reported experiencing movement restrictions and confiscation of surveillance cameras used in shops.
