RAMALLAH, February 5, 2018 (WAFA) – Israel’s demolition of European Union-funded Palestinian classrooms is humiliation of international law, said Saeb Erekat, chief negotiator and secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Erekat said in a tweet after the demolition of third and fourth grade classrooms in Abu Nuwar Bedouin Community on Sunday that the demolition is “the continuation of Israel’s humiliation of International law and only aims to break the Palestinian will for freedom and life.”

He said that it is “time for the international community to hold Israel accountable. Actions speak louder than words.”

Israel demolished the two classrooms claiming they were built without a permit, which Palestinians can never obtain from the Israeli military government that controls almost 60 percent of the area of the West Bank referred to as Area C. Abu Nuwar school is located east of Jerusalem in Area C.
