Education ministry condemns Israeli demolition of parts of only school in Bedouin community

RAMALLAH, February 4, 2018 (WAFA) - Ministry of Education Sunday condemned Israeli forces’ demolition of part of a school in Abu Nuwar Bedouin community to the southeast of Jerusalem.

It slammed the demolition of the school as a ‘terrible crime’ to be added to the series of ongoing Israeli crimes against educational institutions.

The ministry reiterated its call for all local and international human rights and humanitarian organizations to expose the Israeli violations and provide protection for Palestinian students, particularly in area C of the West Bank, which is under full Israeli military control.

Israeli forces demolished early Sunday two European Union-funded classrooms in Abu Nuwar school.

Abu Nuwar is a Bedioun community near the town of al-Eizariya to the southeast of Jerusalem.
