Israeli soldiers detain 8 Palestinians from East Jerusalem

 

JERUSALEM, October 3, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers detained early Tuesday eight Palestinians in East Jerusalem neighborhoods, according to local sources.

Undercover soldiers snatched three Palestinian youths from a gas station in the town of al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, the sources said.

The three youths, whose identity was not immediately unknown, were taken away in army vehicles to an unknown location.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained five Palestinians from Shufat refugee camp east of Jerusalem after soldiers raided their home.

The camp witnessed intense clashes the night before between Israeli forces and residents.

According to the sources, a child was hit in the eye by rubber-coated metal bullet after soldiers fired live and metal bullets as well as tear gas at the stone-throwing protesters.

The child was rushed to hospital in serious condition. Two others were hit in the leg by live bullets, in addition to some who suffered from tear gas inhalation.
