Israeli settlers uproot olive trees in Nablus area village

NABLUS, September 13, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers uprooted Wednesday a number of olive trees in the village of Burin, south of Nablus, according to Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the Nablus area.

He told WAFA that settlers from Yitzhar entered Palestinian agricultural land located on the outskirts of the village and uprooted 27 fruitful olive trees.

The olive harvest season starts next month and thousands of Palestinian families rely on this season for their household income and livelihood.

Uprooting or cutting olive trees brings big financial losses to families that survive from the olive harvest season.
