RAMALLAH, September 5, 2017 (WAFA) - The Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine increased during July by 15.25% compared to the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Tuesday.
The increase was due to rise in the activity of manufacturing industry by 17.80%, which had a share of 83.19% of the total industry, and the activity of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 10.45%, which had a share of 11.98% of the total industry.
On the other hand, the activity of mining and quarrying decreased by 16.84%, which had a share of 4.06% of the total industry, and a decrease by 7.03% in the activities of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation, which had a share of 0.78% of the total industry.
