Activists call on Palestinians to be at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday

JERUSALEM, August 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Activists Thursday called on Palestinians to be present at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City on Tuesday to coincide with a police decision allowing Israeli parliament, Knesset, members to enter the compound on that day.

The call came through social media following reports in the Israeli media that the police will allow Jewish Knesset members to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque at least for one day.

The Israeli media said this visit will be on trial bases to see how Palestinians would react before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided on whether to lift the ban on entry of Knesset members into the Muslim holy compound or keep it. The ban was imposed in 2015.
