RAMALLAH, June 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas Saturday condemned the foiled Friday terrorist attack on Makkah’s Grand Mosque, the holiest site in Islam, in Saudi Arabia.
Abbas expressed his full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its people in facing terrorism, and prayed for god’s protection over Saudi Arabia and its people.
Earlier on Friday, the Major General Mansour Al-Turki, a security spokesman from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior, announced that Saudi Arabia forces foiled a terror attack targeting Mecca‘s Grand Mosque and the pilgrims.
The Great Mosque of Makkah is the largest Masjid in the world and surrounds Islam‘s holiest place, the Kaaba, in the city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
