Injuries in clashes with Israeli forces in Nablus and Jenin

JENIN, May 17, 2017 (WAFA) – Three Palestinians were Wednesday injured and dozens suffocated by inhaling teargas during separate clashes with Israeli forces in Jenin and Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

They told WAFA that two Palestinian youths were shot and injured by Israeli forces following an army raid into Jenin refugee camp, where clashes erupted with residents there.

Dozens of Palestinians suffered from teargas inhalation after Israeli forces fired teargas canisters and stun grenades towards homes. One woman required hospitalization.

Clashes with Israeli forces also broke out in Askar refugee camp, east to the city of Nablus.

According to medical sources, one Palestinian youth was injured after Israeli soldiers shot him. He was given first aid by the Red Crescent crew and then moved to a nearby hospital.

Israeli forces also detained four Palestinians from the town of al-Zababdeh, near the city of Jenin, after raiding and ransacking their homes in the town.
