RAMALLAH, May 12, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday afternoon shot dead a Palestinian as they forcefully quelled a march in solidarity with hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah.
Clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian protesters at the village entrance as protesters marched in solidarity with hunger-striking prisoners, who entered their 26th day without food.
Forces fired live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at protesters, critically injuring one with a live round in the chest and causing many other to suffocate.
The Palestinian man was rushed to a Salfit hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
