RAMALLAH, May 12, 2017 (WAFA) -  CEC Chairman Hanna Nasir Thursday held a press conference at CEC‘s media center in Al-Bireh, in which he reviewed preparations for the upcoming polling day scheduled for this Saturday.

 During the press conference which was attended by representatives of political parties, local and international observers and guests, Nasir called upon all eligible voters to cast their votes on Saturday at the polling centers which will be open from 7:00 am till 7:00 pm in 145 localities across the West Bank.

Nasir stated the CEC has completed all logistical preparations for holding elections as scheduled. He also welcomed the presence of observers and journalists to observe and cover elections and expressed CEC‘s readiness to facilitate their mission to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

The CEC had announced Thursday morning the launch of early voting for 11 thousand security personnel and confirmed the end of election campaigning activities as of midnight Thursday.
