JENIN, April 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday detained four Palestinians during a large-scale raid and search campaigns carried out across the West Bank districts of Jenin and Hebron, in addition to a youth to the east of occupied Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.
Israeli forces detained two Palestinians, including a teacher, after raiding and wreaking havoc into their family homes in Marka village to the south of the West Bank district of Jenin.
Forces stormed several villages and towns in the Jenin area, conducting a large-scale search campaign into residents homes, however, no further arrests were reported.
In Hebron, forces detained a high school student aged 18 after raiding and searching his family home in the town of Beit Ummar.
Forces further raided and searched a number of homes in the Hebron area, provoking residents and leading to clashes to the south of Beit Ummar town. Forces reportedly used live ammunition and tear gas canisters against the residents, however, no injuries were reported.
Coordinator of the national and popular committees against the apartheid wall and settlements, Rateb al-Jabour, told WAFA Israeli army stormed al-Karmel area in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, searching and wreaking havoc into a number of homes, without making any arrests.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained two Palestinian youths after raiding and searching their homes in the towns of Abu Dis and al-Sawahra, east of occupied Jerusalem.
