RAMALLAH, April 21, 2017 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas Thursday offered his condolences to his French counterpart, François Hollande, for the police officer who lost his life in the terror shoot-out attack that targeted a police car in Champs-Élysée in Paris.
A police officer was fatally shot, and two others were injured in the shoot-out attack that took place on Thursday night. The attacker was shot dead.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
Abbas expressed his total rejection to such cowardly terrorist attack, offering the Palestinian people and leadership’s full support to the French people in their fight against terrorism.
Abbas conveyed his sorrow and sympathy to the family of the victim, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
