BETHLEHEM, April 19, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday opened fire on a Palestinian car, shooting and killing a Palestinian after he allegedly carried out a run-over attack near Etzion junction to the south of Bethlehem, according to a local official.
Muhammad ‘Awad, Director of the Ambulance and Emergency Department of the Palestinian Red Crescent Association in Bethlehem, told WAFA Israeli forces opened fire on a Palestinian car, critically injuring the driver, after he allegedly carried out a run-over attack against Israeli settlers in the said area.
The Palestinian was identified as Sohaib Mashahreh, 21.
Forces reportedly prevented paramedics at the scene from providing first aid to the injured Palestinian. He was eventually transferred to hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
