JERUSALEM, April 19, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Wednesday placed a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Ahmad Attoun under administrative detention for four months renewable based on “undisclosed evidence.”.
Israeli forces detained Attoun at his home of exile in Ramallah on April 12.
Attoun, who was exiled from Jerusalem to Ramallah almost seven years ago because of Hamas-affiliation, spent around 10 years in Israeli jails where he was numerously held under administrative detention.
Thirteen PLC members are currently held in Israeli jails, most of them held in administrative detention without charge or trial.
