RAMALLAH, April 19, 2017 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah Wednesday stressed that the upcoming donors meeting planned to be held next month in Brussels should go in line with the Palestinian national policy agenda for the next six years.
Hamdallah stressed in a meeting at his Ramallah office with Norway’s representative to Palestine, Hilde Haraldstad, the importance of focusing on financial support for the water and electricity sectors in Palestine in view of their urgent need, in addition to supporting development projects in Area C of the West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule.
The Prime Minister also discussed with the Norwegian diplomat political developments and the hunger strike by 1500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
He called for an urgent intervention by the international community to pressure Israel to heed the legitimate demands of the striking prisoners.
