JERUSALEM, April 9, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli police last night and today detained at least 18 Palestinians during wide-scale raids in occupied East Jerusalem, local sources said.
The sources said that Israeli police raided Palestinians’ homes in several areas of Jerusalem, especially in the Old City, and detained 18 of them. The police also handed notices to others to appear for interrogation before the Israeli intelligence.
The raids came following Israel’s decision to ban Palestinians from the occupied West Bank from entering Jerusalem during the Jewish holiday “Passover,” which is celebrated until April 17th.
