TUNIS, April 5, 2017 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah Wednesday held talks in Tunis with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi during which they discussed mutual relations as well as political and economic issues.
Hamdallah, who is in Tunisia to attend a meeting for Arab ministers of interior in his capacity as interior minister, briefed the Tunisian president on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly Israeli violations, settlement expansion, expropriation of land, demolition of homes and restrictions on Palestinian investment and development in Area C of the occupied West Bank.
He also informed him of efforts to end the Israeli occupation during a specific timeline that would lead to the establishment of the independent Palestinian state.
Hamdallah also met during his stay in Tunisia with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Naser bin Khalifa Al Thani and discussed cooperation, particularly in training of police officers.
