RAMALLAH, March 28, 2017 (WAFA) –GDP in Palestine increased by 4.1% during 2016 compared to 2015, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Tuesday.
GDP increased by 1.3% during fourth quarter of 2016 compared to the same quarter in 2015, an increase by 1.1% in the West Bank and 1.7% in the Gaza Strip, it said.
However, GDP had actually decreased by 1.3% when compared to the third quarter of 2016.
GDP for the fourth quarter 2016 was $1,505.3 million for the West Bank and $492 million for the Gaza Strip, said the PCBS.
GDP per capita for Palestine was $434.2 during the fourth quarter 2016, a decrease of 1.5% when compared to fourth quarter 2015.
It registered $558.5 in the West Bank, a decrease by 1.3%, and $258.3 in Gaza Strip, a decrease by 1.7%.
