JERUSALEM, March 23, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli police resumed on Thursday sealing shut of the Qunbar family home in Jabal al-Mukaber in occupied East Jerusalem a day after sealing shut the first floor of the two-story building, according to witnesses.
Fadi Qunbar had rammed his truck into Israeli soldiers in a nearby settlement in January killing four and wounding 15 others before he was shot dead.
Police sealed shut with cement the first floor on Wednesday and arrested Fadi’s father and brother before returning on Thursday to seal the rest of the building.
Sealing shut and demolition of homes of families of Palestinian attackers is considered collective punishment for the entire family who normally was not aware of what its son was up to.
Police cordoned off the area and prevented people from reaching the house during the process.
