JERUSALEM, July 3, 2016 (WAFA) – At least 15 Palestinians were on Sunday detained by the Israeli forces, mostly during predawn raids in the occupied city of Jerusalem and in Hebron district, according to media sources.
The official Israeli radio said that Israeli police conducted a raid campaign in Jerusalem and detained nine Palestinians, for allegedly participating in stone throwing attacks against Israeli police targets in the occupied city.
Meanwhile, Israeli police detained journalist Amjad Abu Arafa after raiding his house in Ras al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem. He was transferred to a nearby interrogation and detention center.
The latest arrests in Jerusalem bring the whole number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in Jerusalem during the past week to 58 people, according to Israeli sources.
In the meantime, Israeli army broke into the town of Dora, south of Hebron in the West Bank, and detained two Palestinians, a brother and his sister. They were identified as Saeed, 47, and Fadda Hudeib, 45.
Forces also stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp in the city, where they detained Tareq Hudeib, 32.
The army further detained Lara Tarayrah, 22, a female Palestinian from the town of Bani Na’im; in addition to 61-year-old Khaled al-Madhoun, a retired Palestinian general, from Hebron city.
