RAMALLAH, June 26, 2016 (WAFA) – Palestinian Arabic dailies on Sunday highlighted Israel’s closure of Musawa TV, funded by the Palestinian Authority, which runs in Israel.
Al-Quds said Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Saeb Erekat, described the Israeli decision to close the channel to be “part of Israel’s collective punishment” against the Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, al-Ayyam and al-Quds focused on the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union, saying the UK has seen a political “shock”.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said Israeli soldiers assaulted Mahmoud Ibrahim and Ali Deriya, two Palestinians from Beit Fajjar village near Bethlehem, while detaining them from their homes about a week ago.
Al-Ayyam said two Egyptian troops were killed and a third was injured in an armored tanks explosion in Sinai Peninsula.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said a water crisis has been exacerbating in Salfit district in the West Bank, after the Israeli occupation authorities increased the daily water supply to Israeli settlements in light of the current heat wave.
Al-Ayyam said Palestine will participate in the meeting of the state parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
