RAMALLAH, March 27, 2016 (WAFA) – The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential buildings reached 99.23 with a decrease of 0.24% in the West Bank during February 2016 compared to the previous month, said a report issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on Sunday.
It said the CCI has declined due to a decrease in the prices of rental of equipment, and raw materials by 0.42% and 0.37%, respectively, while labor wages remained stable.
Meanwhile, CCI for non-residential buildings reached 99.51 with a decrease of 0.24% in the West Bank during the same period.
It declined due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.35%, and rental of equipment by 0.41%, while labor wages remained stable.
As for CCI for skeleton buildings, it reached 95.37 with a decrease of 0.35% in the West Bank during February 2016 compared to the previous month. It declined due to an decrease in prices of rental of equipment and raw materials by 0.29%, and 0.52%, respectively, while labor wages remained stable.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 106.81 with a decrease of 1.34% in the West Bank during the same period.
It declined due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials, operating costs of equipment and maintenance and rental of equipment by 2.04%, and by 1.25%, and 0.31%, respectively. Meanwhile, labor wages remained stable during the same period.
Meanwhile, the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 108.54, with a decrease of 0.55% during the same period. Meanwhile, water reservoirs cost index reached 97.69, with a decrease of 0.45% during the same period.
As for the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI), it reached 107.33 with a decrease of 0.25% in the West Bank during the same period.
