Four Palestinians Shot, Injured in West Bank Clashes with Israeli Army

QALQILIA, March 27, 2016 (WAFA) - At least four Palestinian youths were shot and injured during overnight and predawn clashes with Israeli forces in the West Bank districts of Qalqilia and Bethlehem, according to an official.

Head of the emergency center in Qalqilia, Monther Nazzal, informed WAFA that two youths, aged 21 and 22, were reportedly shot and injured with rubber-coated steel bullets in the foot and chest, respectively, during clashes that broke out in al-Naqar neighborhood to the west of Qalqilia.

They were both transferred to hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, two other youths were shot and injured during a predawn Israeli military raid into Dheisheh Refugee Camp. to the south of Bethlehem.

Forces stormed the camp in the predawn hours, where they proceeded to raid several Palestinian homes, spurring clashes with locals.

Soldiers used stun grenades, tear gas canisters, live and rubber baton rounds against locals, shooting and injuring two.One of the locals was reportedly shot and injured in the shoulder with a Tutu bullet, while the other received a rubber-bullet in the hand.

They were both taken to hospital, where their condition was described as moderate.

To be noted, Tutu bullets are banned under international law but occupation forces continue to use it.

According to media, Tutu bullets are classified by Israeli army as non-lethal weapon. However many Palestinians were killed due to being shot by Tutu bullets.
