JERUSALEM, March 22, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday overnight detained 16 Palestinians from Jerusalem and Bethlehem districts, said security sources.
Forces leading track dogs launched a large-scale detention raids across Jerusalem, particularly in the Old City’s neighborhoods, detaining 15 Palestinian former detainees and minors.
The detainees were identified as Thaer Zughayer, Thaer Abu Sbeih, Laith Gheith, Ahmad Shawish, Nour Shalabi, Laith Shalabi, Amjad Gharuf, Raed Gharuf, Walid Tuffaha, Amir Balbisi, Omar al-Zaanin, Mahmoud Najib, Rouhi Kulghasi, Bassam Hijazi and Muhammad Abu Shusha.
Forces also summoned an unidentified number of Palestinian youths and minors.
Meanwhile in the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, forces detained a Palestinian after breaking into and ransacking his house in Duheisha refugee camp, south of the city, triggering clashes with locals.
The detainee was identified as Shadi Ajamiya, 34.
Troops leading tracking dogs stormed Palestinian houses after closing Hebron-Jerusalem Street for both directions.
During clashes, troops fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades. No injuries were reported.
To the south of Bethlehem, in Hebron district, forces stormed at least three houses during a predawn raid into Bani Na‘im, a town to the east of the city.
The owners were identified as Issa al-Zeyadat, Jehad al-Zeyadat and Muhammad al-Jundi.
