HEBRON, December 9, 2015 (WAFA)
– Israeli authorities Wednesday detained at least 31 Palestinians, including
minors, in the West Bank and Jerusalem, most of them during predawn and night
raids into their family homes, according to security sources and the
Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC).
In Hebron district, army broke
into the towns of Sa’ir and Beit Ummar and detained four Palestinians
identified as Jawad Froukh, 27, Rabee Awad, 19, Abdel-Nasser A. Abu-Maria, 17,
and Hamza S. Abu-Maria, 16.
Forces raided and searched
several homes in the abovementioned towns, sabotaging their furniture, but
there were no reports of arrests.
Army also stormed the family house
of Ihab Miswadi and
summoned his brothers for interrogation. They further took measurements of the house and seized
pictures of Miswadi, who was shot dead by the army on Monday.
Meanwhile in Qalqilia, in
northwestern West Bank, Israeli troops stormed the city and detained six local
Palestinians, identified as Mohammad Qawwas, 14, Saa’ed al-Aqra’a, 16, Mohammad
Zaid, 20, Rabee Abu Shehab, 26, Hamza M. Zaid, 19, and Jamal Adnan, 20.
In Nablus, Israeli troops
detained three Palestinians in the city after raiding their homes. They were
identified as Mohammad al-Madani, Abdullah Abu al-Rish, and Bahaa Tuffaha.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces
detained four Palestinians. Two of them were identified as Ibrahim Jubran, 20,
and Malek Jubran. The identity of the remaining two remains unknown until the
moment.
Meanwhile in Jerusalem district,
Israeli police and security forces detained at least seven Palestinians,
including three minors and an elderly, in downtown Jerusalem and the nearby
town of Anata. The detainees were identified as Muataz AL-Za’tari, Ra’ed
Nassar, Ahmad al-Ghoul, Hejazi Abu Sbaih, Suhaib Arafat, Murad Disi, in
addition to an elderly female identified as Zainat al-Jallad, 62.
In the meantime, Israeli troops
detained a Palestinian in Tubas, in northeastern West Bank after raiding and
searching his house. He was identified as Iyad Maslamani.
Three Palestinians were also
reportedly detained by Israeli troops from across the Ramallah district. The
three were identified as Ashraf Radi, 36, Jamal Ehbeis, 25, and Hassan Emran,
36.
Troops also stormed the village
of Bal’a near Tulkarm and detained two local Palestinians, identified as Bahaa
Shahrour, 25, and Tha’er Zuraiqi.
Last night, forces detained a
minor from the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin, while he was present at his
family land near the town. He was identified as Mohammad Ba’jawi, 16
Also in Jenin city, army forces
mounted the rooftop of a building for some time, provoking clashes with local
youths. Soldiers used teargas canisters to disperse the youths.
