HEBRON, September 10, 2014 (WAFA)
– Israeli army on Wednesday razed a private-owned area in Hebron City under the
pretext of searching for antiques, said WAFA correspondent.
Israeli bulldozers accompanied by
a staff from the Israeli Antiques Authority arrived in Tel Rumeda neighborhood
of Hebron and proceeded to raze 13 acres of land, owned in part to Hebron
Municipality and a local resident.
A witness told WAFA that
residents of the area prevented the Israeli bulldozers from uprooting an old
olive tree dating back to thousands of years ago, whereas protesters took to
the area to prevent further bulldozing by the Israeli authorities.
