RAMALLAH, April 7, 2014 – (WAFA) –
Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated Monday that the misinformation campaign
launched by the Israeli government against the Palestinian leadership confirms
the lack of an Israeli partner for peace.
Ministry strongly condemned
statements made by many extreme right-wing Israeli ministers, who threaten
Palestinian people and leadership and attempt to mislead public opinion through
spreading rumors and distortion of facts.
Ministry stressed that such
statements unveil the fact that Israel seeks to derail any serious negotiations
to gain time, prolong occupation and intensify settlement and Judaizing of
Jerusalem.
Acting on Israeli positions calling
for holding early elections and stating that “the negotiations is not realistic?”
and “Palestinian state is not an option”, the ministry stated that such
positions reaffirm the lack of an Israeli partner for peace and indicate the
Israeli government’s disregard to the international community’s will and US
efforts to reach a negotiable solution for the conflict.
The ministry called upon all states,
and especially the US, to seriously act against Israeli intransigence and
refusal to comply with international resolutions in order to salvage
negotiations.
