HEBRON, August 15, 2026 (WAFA) — Two women, two men, and a child were injured on Saturday after Israeli colonists attacked Palestinians in Umm al-Khair village in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that the five Palestinians sustained bruises and contusions in the attack.

In a separate incident, colonists attacked the vehicle of Palestinian citizen Imad Hawshiya, a resident of al-Markaz village in Masafer Yatta, as he was traveling along the al-Zuweidin road to his home. They hurled stones at the vehicle, although no injuries were reported.

In Wadi al-Rakhim area, south of the nearby town of Yatta, colonists attacked the home of a local Palestinian family and vandalized their property.

In Khirbet al-Hummus, south of Yatta, colonists, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, released their livestock around Palestinian homes and prevented residents from leaving their houses.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and colonists carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their land and property in July, including 1,458 attacks by Israeli forces and 798 by colonists.

The commission said the attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh, with 260 attacks, followed by Nablus with 247, Jenin with 190, Bethlehem with 185 and Hebron with 170.

The commission said the figures reflect coordination between military force and colonist attacks, with the Israeli army providing protection and support that enables the attacks to continue and their outcomes to become established realities on the ground.
