RAMALLAH, August 15, 2026 (WAFA) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Saturday expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity to Indonesia's leadership, government and people following a powerful earthquake that struck parts of the country's east, killing and injuring several people and causing extensive damage to homes, buildings and property.
The ministry extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery. It also expressed hope that search and rescue teams and relevant authorities would succeed in reaching people trapped under the rubble and continue efforts to rescue those affected and mitigate the disaster's impact.
The ministry affirmed the State of Palestine's full solidarity with Indonesia during this difficult time, expressing confidence in the country's ability to overcome the disaster and contain its consequences as soon as possible.
