TUBAS, October 3, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today detained three Palestinian farmers and seized a truck in the Ras al-Ahmar area, southeast of Tubas.
Mutaz Basharat, the Tubas Governorate official in charge of the Jordan Valley file, said that the forces detained three farmers while they were on their agricultural lands in Ras al-Ahmar and seized a truck loaded with a banana crop.
Israeli forces have continued to besiege and isolate Ras al-Ahmar for more than two weeks by digging a trench and closing access routes to the area, restricting residents’ movement and their access to their lands and property amid continued attacks against the local population.
Since the beginning of the year, the area has also witnessed extensive land leveling carried out by Israeli forces to construct a military road through Palestinian lands. The work has included the demolition of artesian wells and damage to irrigation networks and water pipelines.
