NABLUS, October 3, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists continued their attacks on olive harvesters in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, attacking farmers on Saturday morning as they picked olives in the Qammas area, a day after colonists attacked the Jabal al-Arma area and opened live fire.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces detained several young men and solidarity activists in the area who had come to help farmers harvest their olive crops.
Colonist attacks on Palestinian farmers have been escalating with the start of the olive harvest season, including assaults on farmers, preventing them from reaching their land, stealing olive crops, and cutting down or burning trees.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said Israeli forces and colonists carried out 2,051 attacks against Palestinians and their land and property last month, including 1,404 attacks by Israeli forces and 647 by settlers, amid escalating attacks and continued targeting of the Palestinian presence and the foundations of its resilience on its land.
