RAMALLAH, October 3, 2026 (WAFA) — Five Palestinians, including a man and his wife, were injured today after Israeli colonists attacked them near the village of Rantis, northwest of Ramallah.
Head of the Rantis village council, Majed Khalaf, told WAFA that colonists attacked several Palestinians near the village with sticks, firearms and pepper spray. The wife of one of the injured Palestinians was also run over during the assault.
Three of the injured Palestinians were transferred to a hospital in Israel for medical treatment.
The attack comes amid heightened difficulties facing Palestinian farmers during this year's olive harvest, as colonist attacks under the protection of Israeli occupation forces have escalated, threatening larger losses to the harvest and restricting farmers' safe access to their lands.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and colonists carried out 2,051 attacks against Palestinians, their lands and property during September, including 1,404 attacks by Israeli forces and 647 by colonists.
