GAZA, October 3, 2026 (WAFA) — A Palestinian man died this evening from wounds sustained by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources told WAFA that Mohammad Talat Aqel, from Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, died from a gunshot wound to the head sustained several days ago in the Umm Dhuhair area of Deir al-Balah. He had been receiving treatment at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city.

Earlier today, medical sources said the death toll from Israel's aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 74,228, while 175,188 Palestinians have been injured since October 2023.
