BRATISLAVA, August 25, 2026 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic condemned statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir calling for the targeted killing of Palestinians.
The Slovak Ministry said in a statement that Slovakia rejects such rhetoric, particularly when it comes from a senior government official, stressing that it contradicts the fundamental principles of international law and human dignity.
The ministry said that such statements are unacceptable and do not contribute to de-escalation in the Middle East, but rather undermine international efforts to achieve peace, including the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, which supports the Gaza peace plan.
The Slovak Republic, together with a number of international partners, reaffirmed that the two-state solution is the only viable long-term path to achieving peace and stability in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
