SALFIT, August 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday ordered a Palestinian citizen to halt construction work on a building under construction in the town of Deir Ballut, in the central West Bank province of Salfit.
Deir Ballut Mayor Jihad Qassem said the stop-work order is part of ongoing measures aimed at restricting Palestinian citizens and imposing new realities on the ground, preventing them from developing and building on their land.
He added that the measures coincide with escalating attacks by Israeli forces and colonists targeting the town's land and citizens' property.
