JERUSALEM, August 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation authorities early Sunday issued an eviction order targeting one Palestinian home and parts of two other homes in the Silwan neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said the order targets the home of Palestinian citizen Naim Maragha, which was built in 1966, covers 40 square meters and is inhabited by four people.
It also covers the 68-square-meter home of Salah Maragha, ordering the eviction of 40 square meters of the property, which is also inhabited by four people.
The order further targets the home of educator Inam Maragha and her sister Rabia, requiring the removal of a six-square-meter section despite their health conditions and complete loss of mobility, according to the governorate.
The governorate said the measures are part of an Israeli policy aimed at placing pressure on Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem and pushing them to leave their homes and land.
