JEDDAH, August 14, 2026 (WAFA) — The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday warned of the dangers posed by escalating organized terrorism carried out by extremist Israeli colonists under the protection of Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, including the ongoing siege and attacks against the town of Qusra, south of Nablus.
The OIC said the attacks are part of a broader context of killings, colonial settlement, annexation and the destruction of infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, as well as attacks on refugee camps and attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people, in blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The organization renewed its call on the international community to take all possible diplomatic, legal and economic measures to pressure Israel to halt these systematic crimes.
It also stressed the need to activate international justice mechanisms to hold those responsible for such crimes accountable under international criminal law.
