NABLUS, August 8, 2026 (WAFA) — Two Palestinians were injured on Saturday after Israeli colonists attacked the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, according to local and medical sources.
The director of the Palestine Red Crescent Society's ambulance and emergency center in Nablus, Ameed Ahmad, said ambulance crews treated two young Palestinian men who were assaulted and beaten by colonists in Beit Furik.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and colonists carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their land and property across the occupied West Bank in July. Israeli forces carried out 1,458 attacks, while colonists carried out 798.
The commission said the attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh, with 260 attacks; Nablus, 247; Jenin, 190; Bethlehem, 185; and Hebron, 170.
It said the figures demonstrate a clear coordination between military force and colonist violence, with Israeli forces providing protection and support that enables the expansion of such attacks and allows their consequences to become established realities on the ground.
