Israeli forces issue demolition notices for two structures near Jaba’ south of Jenin

JENIN, August 5, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today issued demolition notices for two structures near the town of Jaba’, south of Jenin.

Resident Ahmad al-Azzam told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the area and handed him a notice ordering the demolition of the headquarters of his family’s contracting company, giving him seven days to file an objection against the decision.

He said the facility, built on an area estimated at 4.7 dunams, includes offices, storage units, and a perimeter wall, and has served as the company’s headquarters for around ten years.

In a related development, Israeli forces handed resident Mustafa al-Safir from the town of Silat al-Dhahr a demolition notice targeting an industrial facility belonging to him. The facility includes a two-story building measuring approximately 300 square meters, in addition to another building measuring 120 square meters.

He was ordered to remove the industrial equipment from the facility in preparation for its demolition within seven days.

Israeli authorities continue to escalate their measures in the Jenin governorate through issuing demolition and stop-work notices, as well as bulldozing and confiscating agricultural lands and targeting Palestinian structures and property.
