RAMALLAH, July 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces escalated their policy of demolishing and exploding Palestinian homes in the West Bank on Tuesday, demolishing three houses in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorates and Qalqilya, and blowing up a house in Nablus, as part of ongoing violations against Palestinian citizens and their property.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, occupation forces demolished two houses under construction in the village of Shuqba, west of the city, after storming the al-Attari area accompanied by military bulldozers.
The head of the Shuqba village council, Khalaf Qadah, told WAFA that the two houses belonged to Wael Salameh Qadah and Abdul Qader Shalash, and their total area was approximately 330 square meters. He noted that occupation soldiers fired stun grenades at residents during the demolition operation.
In Qalqilya, Israeli occupation forces demolished a house in the village of Jit, east of the city, after storming the northwestern part of the village accompanied by a military bulldozer.
Local sources told WAFA that the demolished house was approximately 175 square meters, consisted of three floors, and belonged to Khalaf Yamin.
In Nablus, Israeli occupation forces detonated a house belonging to the Zagha family in the area behind the National Hospital, after besieging it for hours during a large-scale raid on the city that began at dawn.
A WAFA correspondent reported that the explosion caused flames and plumes of smoke to rise in the area. The occupation forces brought prisoner Hatem Firas Zagha to the site of the house before detonating it. The house was his grandfather's house, located on the first floor of a residential building.
He added that during the raid on the city, the occupation forces stormed a number of homes, including those belonging to the Zagha and Shakhshir families, amidst a widespread deployment of military vehicles and soldiers.
The occupation authorities continue their policy of demolishing Palestinian homes and structures in the West Bank, under the pretext of building without a permit, while human rights organizations confirm that the occupation authorities impose strict restrictions that prevent citizens from obtaining building permits, especially in areas classified as (C), which makes the demolitions a tool to impose forced displacement and change the demographic and geographic reality, in violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions that prohibit the destruction of the property of the population living under occupation.
