SALFIT, June 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Three Palestinians were injured on Saturday after being assaulted by Israeli colonists in the village of Iskaka, in the central West Bank province of Salfit, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that a group of Israeli colonists attacked three local Palestinian civilians, including two women, while they were gathering sage near the village. The colonists beat the three residents, causing injuries and bruises that required their transfer to a hospital for treatment.
The incident comes amid a recent increase in attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinian residents and their property in the Salfit region and the rest of the occupied West Bank.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and colonists carried out a total of 1,659 attacks during May. Of those, 1,108 were attributed to Israeli forces and 551 to colonists.
The commission said the attacks included physical assaults, uprooting of trees, burning agricultural fields, preventing farmers from accessing their land, property seizures, and the demolition of homes and agricultural structures.
