JERUSALEM, June 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation police published a a recruitment advertisement calling for volunteers to join the so-called "Temple Mount Unit", which is responsible for securing the colonists' incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and imposing measures against worshipers, in a move aimed at attracting members of the extremist "Temple" groups and the religious Zionist movement.
According to the announcement, several rabbis affiliated with these groups participated in the promotional campaign alongside Israeli police officers. The campaign reflects a broader effort to consolidate occupation’s control over Al-Aqsa Mosque, provide protection for colonizers’ incursions, and perform rituals inside its courtyards.
This comes in light of the escalation of the occupation’s violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, including tightening restrictions on worshipers and allowing colonizers’ incursions and the performance of collective rituals inside its courtyards, amid warnings of attempts to change the historical and legal situation existing there.
