JERUSALEM, June 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Tuesday stole dozens of sheep of Palestinian herders from Beit Iksa village, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to eyewitnesses.
They told WAFA that colonists stole dozens of sheep belonging to several herders from the village and moved them into a recently established pastoral outpost built on a tract of land seized from the villagers.
They added that the villagers attempted to search for the stolen sheep, but the colonists prevented them from approaching the vicinity of the colonial outpost.
They noted that colonists have been using the outpost as a springboard for repeated attacks against Palestinians, including herders. Such attacks include chasing herders and preventing them from accessing their agricultural lands in an effort to assert control over large tracts of the village's land.
Beit Iksa has witnessed an upsurge in colonist attacks, particularly since the establishment of the pastoral outpost. Repeated incidents of assaults on residents and their property have been documented, alongside attempts to seize land to make room for colonial settlement expansion, threatening what remains of the village's land, which has been isolated by the separation wall and settlements.
