Occupation authorities force Jerusalemite to demolish his home in East Jerusalem town of Silwan

JERUSALEM, May 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities forced a Jerusalemite citizen on Saturday to demolish his home in the East Jerusalem town of Silwan.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation authorities forced Jerusalemite citizen Mujahid Imad Badran to carry out the self-demolition of his home in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan, under the pretext of building without a permit.

It noted that the 75-square-meter house, built in 2019, sheltered Badran, his wife, and their three children: Mirnas, Imad, and Ward.

The governorate added that the occupation authorities imposed fines and financial penalties on the family totaling approximately 75,000 shekels, which are still being paid off.
